Our History
From a founding vision to an authorized IB World School, the story of Granada Preparatory School.
How It Began
Granada Preparatory School was founded with a simple but powerful belief: that children learn best when they are known, valued, and challenged within a caring community. From its earliest days, GPS set out to be a school where every child matters, not just as a student, but as a whole person.
As an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, Granada Preparatory School offers the Primary Years Programme (PYP), authorized since 2017, and the Middle Years Programme (MYP), authorized since 2020. Our Preschool through Grade 8 students benefit from a rigorous academic foundation that emphasizes inquiry, critical thinking, and global citizenship.
Today, GPS combines a strong academic program with a close-knit community dedicated to developing kind, creative, and confident leaders prepared to make a positive impact on the world.
