Overview

Please note the following details for applying to our Middle School Program.  GPS is an International Baccalaureate World School and follows the Middle Years Program (MYP).  For details about this program please go to the IB Information page.

 

Submit an Admissions Application

Complete the Middle School Admissions Application form and submit it to the school along with the $125 application fee. 

 

Teacher Recommendation

Submit the confidential English Teacher Recommendation form and Math Teacher Recommendation form to the applicant’s current English and math teacher(s). Completed forms should be mailed or faxed directly to GPS by the current school.

 

Student Transcripts

Complete the Transcript Request Letter and give it to the applicant’s current school. All records should be mailed directly from the school.

 

ISEE (Independent School Entrance Exam)

Applicants to Grades 6 – 8 take the ISEE (Independent School Entrance Exam). Our school code is 054224.

Visit and Interview

After receipt of the Admissions Application and fee, applicants to Grades 6 – 8 may spend a morning visiting GPS middle school classes. As part of the student visit, the applicant will have an interview and academic assessment with the Head of Middle School to determine if the school would be the right fit to meet the student's academic needs.

Admissions Decision

Families applying for our Middle Years program will be notified of acceptance (or non-acceptance) upon completion of the admissions requirements.

Please note the California state requirement for immunizations. We will need documentation from your child’s doctor before school starts that all required immunizations have been obtained.
