In addition to school day field trips in all Lower School grades, students in grades 4th and 5th have the opportunity to participate in overnight school trips to help build a sense of independence. These trips in recent years have been to WOLF Adventure Camp, Sea World and Pali Camp. Trips are from 3 to 4 days.
Granada Preparatory School emphasizes the importance of taking action, encouraging students to apply their knowledge to make a difference. Actions range from exploring topics further to addressing environmental or social needs in their community.
In the Grade 5 Exhibition Unit, students showcase their soft and hard skills by researching a chosen topic, interviewing experts, creating solutions, and presenting findings to peers, teachers, and parents. Younger students prepare with unit presentations building confidence and communication skills for their culminating projects.
The school ensures that all grades participate in regular physical education classes, promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and overall well-being. Beyond PE, the school offers after-school sports programs, where boys and girls in grades 3-5 can join volleyball, basketball, and soccer teams.
