Gifts of Stock:
A gift of appreciated securities entitles you to a charitable deduction equal to the fair market value of the securities without paying tax on the securities’ appreciation. Contact the GPS office, for more information. If you own long-term (held for more than one year) appreciated stock that is subject to capital gain, you can avoid capital gains tax liability by making a gift of appreciated stock to Granada Preparatory School.

No capital gains tax on the appreciation
Your charitable deduction is equal to the full current value of your stock gift to Granada Preparatory School

Gifts in Kind
Independent schools welcome donations such as music and art supplies, athletic equipment, office equipment, books and other items related to the educational program. The GPS administration team can help you determine the acceptability of gifts. The donor will determine the gift value. GPS does not assign value to used items.
Granada Preparatory School is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Unlike tuition payments, Annual Fund contributions are 100% tax-deductible.
