Community Projects and Service Learning
Service learning is a cornerstone of the IB program at GPS. Through hands-on community projects, students apply what they’ve learned to real-world problems, making a tangible difference while developing critical skills.
GPS integrates service learning into the curriculum by aligning academic goals with community needs. Students take the lead on projects that address issues they care about, building empathy and leadership skills. Highlight successful projects that students have completed, from environmental initiatives to community outreach. Reflection is a key component, allowing students to consider the impact of their work and how it connects to their learning journey.
Service learning at GPS goes beyond the classroom, teaching students the value of giving back and taking action. By participating in meaningful community projects, our students develop as compassionate leaders who understand the importance of making a positive difference in the world.
